Canoe on the quietest, safest stretches of the Wye

Canoe on the quietest, safest stretches of the Wye

Just imagine what it would be like: drifting down the river, with the prospect of a pub lunch along the way. You are with your family or friends, enjoying some of the country's best countryside, and can't decide whether to have the home made steak pie or cheddar ploughmans!

We occupy one of the quietest and safest stretches of the Wye and work hard to keep it that way, so our clients enjoy a safe and relaxing adventure. This means that we choose not to deal with stag parties (sorry boys) and those who can spoil the enjoyment of other river users.

Our stretch of the Wye is ideal for both the novice and family, or anyone who wants to be absorbed in this beautiful, quiet stretch of countryside. You can hire a canoe for any period from 2 hours to 5 days, so you paddle away at your own pace.

We're delighted to advise on routes and stopping places along the way where you can be fed and watered.

We've got great canoes and safety equipment and are keen for you to share our enjoyment of this wonderful river.

For more information please visit our website or telephone us on 01432 873020

Llama trekking in the beautiful Golden Valley

Llama trekking in the beautiful Golden Valley

Llama trekking is a wonderful activity

At Golden Valley Llamas we invite you to spend a morning or afternoon with us where we will introduce you to our herd of gentle, inquisitive and charming llamas.

We will call the llamas in from the fields and feed them. Then we will show you how to halter and groom a llama, and you will have the time to get to know the boy who will escort you on a three mile trek through the glorious countryside of South West Herefordshire.

Llamas are not ridden, but are led on a rope, and your companion will walk at your pace.

We return to the farm where the llamas are rewarded with fresh grazing and a nibble of cereal before good byes are said and the llamas stroll back to their field.

Families can take a trek on the farm

A wonderful experience for all ages, we trek all year round.

Adults £35 and children £25
